- Could that be the probable reason that they're having trouble finding a
- partner in NA? "Well, gee, we're going to stick you with doing
- advertising and distribution on a system that's probably not going to
- sell a lot, while we get the bulk of the profits."

- I think their recent bankruptcy may have quashed that. But Wonder isn't
- (or wasn't) very major league...

-
- No, it was mentioned a few months ago that the entire OS was contracted
- out to an outside company (could someone refresh me on the name?).

- Who says? Gilles and Kittel. Do we have independent verification, like
- from one of those companies, that AT is talking to them?

- Unfortunately, I have to revise my statement. Last weekend, I purchased
- a Pentium, but simply to run games and Net stuff. I had incredible
- problems with my PPP driver for the Miggy, and decided to just simplify
- things. All the heavy lifting, though, will be done on an Amiga (and
- the PC gets OS/2 slapped on it ASAP; all my friends that have systems
- are using it because, and this is the truth, they said "It's the closest
- thing to your Amiga that we can get.".).

-
- And what's the right thing, George? You seem to think that the S--rfer
- package is, but where's the advertising?

- I have before; it's gotten me nowhere.

- Kittel doesn't even want a hard drive in 1200s. What makes you think a
- CD-ROM is going in there?

-
- Because he has a habit of doing this kind of thing.

-
- Very smart idea, George.

-
- Well, technically, AT's not going to do the set-top box, so I have no
- hope for that idea materializing. However, it's a damn good idea.
- See, George, I can compliment people...

-
- That puts them into a very vicious cycle.
